Families in Canada Conference 2019 – June 14, 2019

On June 14, 2019, the University of Victoria’s Centre for Youth and Society is proud to be co-hosting the Families in Canada Conference 2019. In collaboration with the Vanier Institute of the Family, a diverse group of leaders who study, serve and support families, along with those with lived experience, will gather for a day of research, knowledge-sharing, and engaging conversation focused on our conference theme: THINK BIG: How can we use “Big Data” to inform and inspire big ideas to optimize family well-being in Canada?

Programming includes keynote addresses from Nora Spinks, Chief Executive Officer of the Vanier Institute, and Anil Arora, Chief Statistician at Statistics Canada; and panels on Big Data Through a Family Lens, Family Well-Being Indicators in BC, Family Time Together, Family Formation and Dissolution, and Families New in Canada.

Networking opportunities and poster presentations are also included.
