María Juliana Angarita is a CFGS, Aspiration 2030, and SSHRC Post-Doctoral Fellow. With a background in international relations, museums, and heritage studies, she explores the intersections of memory practices, heritage-building processes, and transitional justice. Her doctoral research examined the heritage-building practices of the Colombian Network of Memory Sites, a coalition of nearly forty community-led initiatives formed by campesino, Indigenous, and Afro-descendant survivors of the armed conflict, and advanced the concept of "heritage vivacis" to describe how grassroots memory networks regenerate social, cultural, political, and ecological life after mass violence.
