Jaclyn Davidson, Associate Director

Provides senior management support for campus COVID resumption programs, including safe work plan implementation. UVic Biosafety Officer. Responsible for biosafety program and medical surveillance. First point of contact for all projects, training and regulatory requirements of PHAC and CFIA; and general research safety support for the department of Biochemistry & Microbiology and Island Medical Program.


Elizabeth Errington, Administration Manager

Responsible for WorkSafeBC claims administration; departmental finances, website and training; safety committee inquiries; and research safety support.


David Morgan, WorkSafe Consultant

Responsible for WorkSafeBC remain at work/return to work program, and primary contact for related medical and rehabilitation services.


Troy Hasanen, OHSE Consultant

UVic Radiation Safety Officer. Responsible for ionizing radiation, x-ray equipment and chemical safety.  First point of contact for projects, training and regulatory requirements of CNSC; and general research safety support for the School of Earth & Ocean Sciences and department of Physics & Astronomy.


Paraskevi Lagaditis, OHSE Consultant

UVic Laser Safety Officer. Responsible for laboratory and laser safety programs.  First point of contact for projects, training and regulatory requirements for Class 3B and 4 lasers, WHMIS and fume hoods; and general research safety support for the departments of Chemistry and Biology.


Amanda Muench, OHSE Consultant

Responsible for environmental programs including hazardous waste management, pollution prevention and laboratory sustainability.  First point of contact for projects, training and regulatory requirements related to boating safety and related field research activities; and general research safety support for the faculty of Engineering.


Graham Rhodes, OHSE Consultant

Hearing Conservation Officer. Responsible for occupational hygiene program. First point of contact for indoor air quality, respiratory protection program, hearing conservation program, shop safety, and related compliance activities and training; and campus Smoke-free program.


Jason Serpa, OHSE Consultant

First point of contact for biosafety cabinet certifications, Animal Care Services, and general research safety support.


Victoria Burdett-Coutts, Diving Safety Officer

Responsible for scientific diving program; first point of contact for scientific diving projects and training.
