Building ventilation

Facilities Management continues to ensure that all mechanical heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are designed, operated and maintained in accordance with WorkSafeBC requirements and ASHRAE Standards for indoor air quality, and that they are working properly.

Additional ventilation measures have been applied to HVAC systems for classrooms, meeting spaces and open plan offices where air is recirculated, and those classrooms which are naturally-ventilated.
