Become a payroll donor: support United Way

- University of Victoria

UVic's virtual United Way campaign is gathering steam. The online auction in December raised more than $5000 and online trivia is on the way for next month. But there's another piece to the puzzle: donations from UVic faculty and staff.

In just a few minutes you could become a payroll donor and make a powerful impact in our community. This year all donations stay local. With more than 100 programs in our community, the United Way is likely helping one of your family members, a friend, a neighbor or someone else you care about.

Even small donations add up over time. A payroll donation of $5 per pay means that someone with mental health challenges receives two hours of counselling services.

New donors can double their efforts with the UVic United Way Match Fund. Their contributions will be matched to a maximum of $15,000, sponsored by personal donations from the university’s executive team. New donors will also be entered in a draw to have lunch with President Kevin Hall (when COVID protocols allow).
