Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Awards

The Vice-President Academic and Provost instituted The Jamie Cassels Undergraduate Research Awards (JCURA) as the Undergraduate Research Scholarship program. It is designed to provide exceptional undergraduate students, who might otherwise not be able to obtain a direct research experience, with a truly formative learning experience.

The goal of this award is to encourage undergraduates to pursue innovative and original research to enhance their learning while at the University of Victoria and to provide a valuable preparatory experience towards graduate studies or a research related career.

The value of a JCURA is $1,500 and credited directly to the student's UVic fee account.
