The Division of Learning and Teaching Support and Innovation (LTSI) coordinates and presents many events for faculty, teaching assistants and graduate students. The Centre for Academic Communication (CAC) provides a number of different workshops and drop-in events for students.

Join us in a collegial, supportive atmosphere for:
- Workshops and Certificates for all instructors on such topics such as:
- grading and assessment,
- teaching dossiers
- active learning
- lecturing
- and more!
- Faculty Institute of Teaching (FIT), an opportunity for instructors to enhance their teaching to support student learning.
- Let's Talk About Teaching, a two-day on-campus teaching conference to kick-start your fall teaching.
We have workshops and events to help you succeed as a TA:
- The Fall and Spring TA conferences.
- Ongoing workshops to delve more deeply into issues common to the TA experience.
- The Teaching Assistant Consultant program, which provides in-department leadership for TAs.
While you are completing your graduate degree, be sure to take advantage of our programming to help you professionally develop:
- Workshops offered for TAs are for everyone, and can enhance your teaching skills.
- If English is not your first language, join our ILEAP (Intensive Lab in English for Academic Purposes) two-day workshops, offered three times a year and the Internationtal Teaching Assistant language program, offered over two days in August, designed to help you feel more comfortable leading tutorials in English.
- Certificate series of workshops available for all instructors at UVic address topics such as assessment, teaching dossiers, active learning, lecturing, and more.
