Chloë Taylor is a philosopher, critical animal studies scholar, and professor of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Alberta. She is the co-author with Kelly Struthers Montford of Animals and the Prison Industrial Complex: Ethical and Political Perspectives (Palgrave, 2026) and, with jessie beier and Dylan Hall, Anthropocene ABCs: An Epochalyptic Primer (Fordham University Press, forthcoming in 2027).

She is also the editor of The Routledge Companion to Gender and Animals (2024), and the co-editor with Kelly Struthers Montford of Colonialism and Animality: Anti-Colonial Perspectives in Critical Animal Studies (Routledge, 2020) and Disability and Animality: Crip Perspectives in Critical Animal Studies (Routledge, 2020).
