Dr. Krista Hiddema is the Executive Director of For The Greater Good and the creator of SPAA, Strategic Planning for Animal Activism, a global program that equips animal protection organizations with the tools and frameworks needed to strengthen their strategy and impact. She is also the founder and Executive Director of Operation Angels, an initiative dedicated to supporting the credibility, sustainability, and long-term impact of farmed animal sanctuaries through training and funding.

Previously, Krista served as Chief Philanthropy Officer of Vegan Grants, where she oversaw the distribution of tens of millions of dollars to high-impact vegan advocacy worldwide. She also served as Vice President of Mercy For Animals in Canada, where she directed 12 undercover investigations in factory farms across the country and led campaigns that exposed systemic cruelty and advanced public awareness. She was the founding President of Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary, home of Esther the Wonder Pig.

Krista holds a doctorate in social sciences, where her research focused on applying ecofeminist principles to strengthen board governance in the animal rights movement, with particular attention to economic, ecological, and social health.
