Dr. Mei Chen is an applied cognitive researcher working in the fields of consumer digital health information technology and computer-based learning. She currently works at Cogilex R&D Inc. to develop cognitive-based semantic technology to identify, select, and extract reliable self-care information from the Internet for supporting patient education and self-management and chronic diseases. She also co-founded the Seenso Institute for Public Health, a non-profit organization that explores how consumer digital health technologies can be used to support self-care at home. Prior to joining Cogilex, Mei was an assistant professor in the Educational Technology Graduate Program at Concordia University, she is also an Educational Technology Adviser to the McGill Family Medicine Education Innovation Initiative.
