For his research program, Jon focuses on career development and counselling. Recent areas of focus include trauma-informed career counselling, and research with newcomers including immigrant workers, international students and their accompanying partners, and people from refugee backgrounds to support policy, programming, and practice for meaningful international career transitions. Jon’s research uses primarily qualitative research methods, and also focuses on innovative approaches to qualitative research as well as research training in counselling psychology and career development.
