After graduating from an international high school in China, Allen came to Canada in 2007 and entered UVic to pursue a bachelor's degree in commerce.

Following his graduation from the Gustavson School of Business, he joined the faculty in 2012 as the International Student Adviser. Starting in 2013, Allen then joined the Gustavson International business development team to assist in developing our global partnerships and international student recruitment initiatives.
