Dr. David McCutcheon has taught in the area of Operations Management. Prior to joining the Gustavson School of Business in 1993, he was a member of the faculty at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business Administration.
His research areas of interest are technology management, service operations and supply chain management. He has served as the Technology Management area editor for the journal Production and Operations Management, an associate editor for the Journal of Operations Management and as a regional vice-president for the Production and Operations Management Society.
David has received many service awards, reflecting his history of managing academic programs and serving as Associate Dean, Programs.
Prior to his academic career, he served in the Canadian Armed Forces as an engineering project manager and construction engineering manager.
