MT+Co. Leonard George Memorial Indigenous Law Scholar Award

This scholarship was created by Miller Titerle + Company in memory of Indigenous leader Leonard George. Leonard, former Chief of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, was a respected community and spiritual leader, a skilled negotiator and a successful director of economic development. A man of big ideas and few words, Leonard marked community as the foundation for Indigenous empowerment.

In establishing this award, Mliller Titerle + Company wishes to recognize Leonard's impact on his community and so many communities surrounding his, and reinforce the importance of community in the University of Victoria's new Indigenous law program.

Vancouver-based Miller Titerle + Company draws on extensive legal expertise, deep experience in Indigenous law and strategic thinking to help Indigenous communities advance their interests in a manner consistent with community values.
