Sasha Tishman

Originally from Mexico City, Sasha Tishman is a bilingual (English/Spanish) screenwriter and independent producer with 3+ years of experience of film and television development experience. A SCAD Writing BFA alum, she is currently producing the U.S. documentary Ginger Girls: The Secret Lives of Redheads and the U.K. body horror short Mother Monster. Her script coverage and development work has included international production companies and festivals including BAFF, ReelHeART, BlueCat, Mucho Mas Media, MoJo Global Arts, American High, and Inclusion Management.

Her writing has been recognized by the Indie House Film Festival (Winner, Best Screenwriter, 2026), and finalist placements with the SAGIndie Fellowship, Berlin International Screenwriting Festival, Cambridge Script Festival, and Oxford Script Awards. She has also been longlisted for The Black List's 2023 Feature Lab, was a Top 25/Semifinalist for the 2025 Coletta Preacely-Garcia Diversity Fellowship through Roadmap Writers, and was selected as an ISA Winter 2025 Top Read.

Sasha is passionate about emotionally charged, character-driven stories centering female, queer, and underrepresented perspectives, often exploring trauma, grief, and identity through psychological depth and sharp wit. Her thesis, Ballad for Camilla, is a coming-of-age drama about inherited pain, enforced silence, and the radical power of art. When she’s not building bold new worlds, Sasha uses her storytelling skills to fiercely advocate for animal rights, collaborating with global NGOs and organizations to protect the future of animals.
