Department of Writing Limited Hire for Indigenous Assistant/Associate Professor in Creative Writing The Department of Writing at the University of Victoria is excited to announce that we are interviewing short-listed candidates for a new tenure-track position: an Assistant or Associate Professor in Creative Writing, limited to Indigenous writers. The six short-listed candidates will be giving presentations open to all members of the UVic community and the general public. There will be an opportunity to submit anonymous feedback to the Appointments Committee after each presentation. The presentations will consist of the following: • Reading/performance of creative work (5-10 minutes) • Lecture on the topic “How Indigenous literatures matter” (20-25 minutes) • Workshop analysis of a sample of student writing (20-25 minutes) • Question & answer session (remaining time) Each presentation will take place in Clearihue Building Room C110, from 10:00 am to 11:20 am.
