Canada’s first “surround” hall, the Farquhar's unique design delivers incredible sound and a clear view from every seat. A stunning 2,000 square foot wood-lined stage, outstanding acoustics and creative lighting makes each event feel special.
Stage & facilities
The Farquhar features a 12.2m x 16.8m (40' x 55') oak stage designed for perfect acoustics. Access is easy through multiple doors on both sides and upstage.

Backstage
Backstage facilities include:
- dressing rooms with mirrors, lights, clothing racks, showers
- green room with lounge seating and coat racks
- warm-up room with upright piano
- full paging, program sound, and two-way audio communication
Loading access
- exterior loading zone fits a 13.7m (45') semi-trailer
- ground-level doors provide direct stage access
- loading door: 2.4m x 2.1m (8' x 7'); interior area: 5.1m x 4.7m (16'8" x 15'6")
- stage access doors: max 2m x 2.1m (6'6" x 6'9")
- vehicles need an auditorium permit if parked over 15 minutes (space for two smaller trucks)
