Community engagement

Our team is committed to working together with communities and partners to co-create positive change.

UVic’s Strategic Framework highlights our ongoing commitment to excellence in community-engaged research and innovation to advance human knowledge, improve and enrich lives, tackle global challenges and promote the sustainability of the planet. Partnerships and community engagement are integral to this work.

We greatly value communities and place a strong focus on cultivating positive relationships. We support our UVic faculty and staff in developing partnerships with communities to reach shared goals. We also work closely with community groups through innovative programs and partnerships.

Partnering for a Shared Future: City of Victoria and Campus Collaboration Workshop

The University of Victoria and the City of Victoria have renewed their long-standing commitment to collaboration through an updated Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), creating new opportunities to work together on projects that make a positive impact in the community.

To help bring this commitment to life, we are co-hosting a workshop on campus that brings together researchers, faculty, staff, and City employees to connect and begin exploring new areas for partnership. If you are interested in attending, please register here. If you already have a partnership idea or a unit you would like to work with, please include as much detail as possible when you register.
