Excellence in Teaching Award Fall 2019 presented to Mr. Nicholas Bruce
Mr. Nicholas Bruce is the recipient of the Graduate Student Excellence in Teaching Award at ECE for the Fall 2019 term.
Nick was the TA for two ECE 350 - Communications Theory and Systems labs during which time he made a substantial update to the lab manual . He is currently completing his PhD in RFI detection for radio telescopes with Dr. Peter Driessen. Nick completed both his undergraduate and MASc degrees with the Mechanical Department. His masters focused on phased-array ionospheric imaging. During his schooling, he completed multiple co-op work terms, one of which took him down to Chile. Looking toward the future, Nick would like to work on building instrumentation for large science projects ranging from astronomy equipment to particle accelerators.
