ABSTRACT

This presentation outlines the works involved on the design project of a brushless DC motor controller and DC power distribution system. This presentation explains the research and design strategies used to complete working prototypes of these systems. These designs were part of a larger project, an assistive technology prototype named Mica (Mobile Camera Assistant). Mica's goal was to enable photographers with disabilities to have full motor control of a camera's position and direction. A final prototype was completed on July 26, 2017.
