ABSTRACT

Abstract:

Image morphing can be defined as a technique to progressively turn one image into another through a smooth transition over a period of time. This technique has proven to be a powerful tool for visual effects. Many breath-taking applications in the film and television industries of fluid transformations are easy to find. This presentation will focus on the Beier-Neely feature-based image-morphing method as well as the software implementation with this method. The three programs constituting this software will be introduced in detail. Results produced by the software will be presented and evaluated. Suggestions for obtaining high-quality morphing results will also be presented with examples.
