ABSTRACT

As software projects accelerate to meet increasing demand for cheaper more reliable software, organizations are looking to streamline their processes to improve productivity and remain adaptable to dynamic change. Requirements engineering is designed to reduce waste, risk and uncertainty by providing a stable foundation on which to design software. With the inevitability of change and the increasing globalization of software products being cognizant of changes in requirements becomes critical for developers. In this talk an approach is introduced where by we propose a system to provide awareness with respect to requirements by leveraging intermediate work products in the software development cycle. The conceptual system provides developers with enhanced ability to keep abreast of pertinent information and make better-informed decisions. We discuss requirements, awareness, our tool concept and an approach for an investigation of issues germane to the idea.
