ABSTRACT:
A suitable orbit space of an aperiodic dynamical systems is a non-commutative space - a transformation group C*-algebra. The interaction between the two areas is of great interest in both fields and developed rapidly in the recent years. One of the main focuses is the interaction of Dynamical system <-> transformation group C*-algebra <-> K-theory. We discuss the role of the classification of C*-algebras in making these interactions more transparent.
