Education advising
The Education Advising team at UVic supports both future and current Teacher Education students. We help future students with admission requirements and application preparation, and current students with Letters of Permission, program and CAPP report planning, graduation requirements, and academic standing.
Our vision & mission
Vision
Graduates of teacher education programs at UVic are professionals who believe in the lifelong transformative power of learning and who actively promote the principles of justice, equity, respect and safety within a diverse and democratic society.
Mission
Through reflection, creativity and collaboration, our programs help future educators build the knowledge to teach with purpose and to carry that commitment into every classroom. That means graduates who can transform curriculum requirements into successful learning experiences, and who integrate research-based knowledge about teaching and learning into their everyday practice. It means fostering supportive, caring environments that address the diverse needs of every learner and taking an active role in shaping education systems that serve them.
