Welcome to the Education Commons and computer labs!
The Faculty of Education computer labs - MacD211, MacD282, MacA323 - and the Education Learning Commons are here for you! The teaching labs (MacD211 and MacD282) are available for drop-in use outside of booked class times. After hours access is available for Education students; contact us to get your OneCard activated.
The Education Learning Commons is open for individual and small group study 8:30am-4:30pm (usually a bit earlier and often later depending on when we get around to closing.) During "Priority Bookings", the Commons remains open for drop-in but we ask that you respect the "Priority Bookings" needs.
If you need assistance or have any questions or problems (we're still working out a few things with all the back to school rush), please contact us at: felctech@uvic.ca. You might also find us in person at MacA322 or the Education Learning Commons help desk. For urgent/emergency help, please call 250-360-6660 and leave a brief message if we can't pickup.

Tim Hopper's Ten Badges to Learn Google Drive
A Google account is a great way to access a number of services, including the Google+ social network, YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive cloud storage, and more. Better yet, a Google account is free! But all those free services won't do you much good if you don't know how to use them. This series of tips is designed to give you a "leg up" when learning how to get the most out of Google Drive without providing step-by-step instructions. Track your progress by earning ten badges on subjects such as organizing your Drive and sharing documents with other Google users, and become a proficient user in Google Drive.
Tim Hopper's Ten Badges to Learn Google Drive
Please note that this series is designed for Tim Hopper's EDCI 336 class. Badges may not be available to those outside the class. However, this is still a good resource for anyone who wants to get a bit more out of Google Drive. For more information, please contact Tim Hopper.
