ECE Professor Lin Cai received a 2019 E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship, the highest honor bestowed on young science and engineering professors by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Established in 1965, up-to six E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowships are awarded annually to outstanding and highly promising faculty members across all science and engineering fields. Cai is the first woman in Electrical & Computer Engineering to receive this prestigious award, presented by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada at Rideau Hall on May 6, 2019.
