Mr. Hannan Lohrasbi, an ECE PhD student, succeeds at the World Semi Contact (kickboxing) point fighting championship
July 13, 2012 - Mr. Hannan Lohrasbi, a PhD student in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, won the under 70 kg Weight Class at the World Semi Contact (kickboxing) point fighting championship, which was held June 20-25, 2012 in Tolmezzo, Italy. Over 400 athletes from 40 countries participated in the event. As a result of his success, he has been invited to take part in the knock down championship which will be held in Goteborg, Sweden in September 2012.
