"What can you do with your degree?" panel sessions

Panel series are held twice a year in October and March, with different sectors/programs featured.

Success in the Humanities and Fine Arts (employer networking night)

A degree in humanities or fine arts can lead almost anywhere! During Success in the Humanities and Fine Arts, you can meet your co-op staff, attend a special career workshop and network with employers who've hired humanities and fine arts grads.

This evening event is usually held in November.

It's always available online!

Network Your Way to a Job

Network Your Way to a Job will teach you everything you need to know about networking—plus, it'll give you the opportunity to practice with local employers.

This event typically takes place in June (but you can also access our networking resources online anytime!)

Employer and grad school information sessions

Employers and grad schools host information sessions all year long to help you learn about work and education opportunities and potential career paths. These are booked throughout the year upon employers' and schools' request, so keep an eye on the events calendar on Learning In Motion!

Indigenous career panel and mock interview clinic (Indigenous students)

At our Indigenous career panel and mock interview clinics, you can meet employers, learn about career and co-op opportunities available to Indigenous students, or practice your interview skills in a 20-minute mock interview with feedback.

These clinics usually run in October and March. (You can also find career resources for Indigenous students anytime online!)

Mock interview clinics (for co-op students)

(For co-op students only)

All co-op students enrolled in Introduction to Professional Practice (IPP) must participate in a mock interview clinic (or another approved mock interview exercise) as a requirement of the course. The IPP assignments include résumé and cover letter development and will prepare you for the mock interview clinic (or other approved exercise). You'll learn about the mock interview requirements and how to sign up in your course.

At the mock interview, you'll practice your interview skills in a realistic setting. We bring employers, alumni and community members to campus for a series of discipline-specific clinics. You'll apply for a sample posting, complete a 20-minute mock interview for that position and get immediate feedback from your interviewer.

Dates vary by co-op program. If your co-op program's mock interview clinic dates are not listed below, please check with your co-op coordinator.

Upcoming 2017 clinics:

  • Mon, Oct 2: Public Administration students
  • Tues, Oct 17: Indigenous students
  • Thurs, Oct 26: Master of Global Business students
  • Fri, Oct 27: Master of Business Administration
  • Nov 1-3: Students in Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education; Fine Arts; Humanities; Social Sciences
  • Nov 21-24: Bachelor of Commerce students
