About our workshops

Résumé Lab

Does your résumé get results? Create a resume that catches employers' attention. This will be a working session with hands-on opportunities to improve your documents. The tutorial will be followed by a brief one-on-one help session from a career educator. If you have them, please bring printed copies of your résumé and a job posting you're interested in.

Ace Your Interviews

Are you confident going into interviews? In this interactive workshop, you'll learn interview strategies, practise responding to questions and get on-the-spot feedback. If you have one, please bring a printed copy of a job posting you're interested in.

LinkedIn Essentials

Are you on LinkedIn? Are you using it effectively? Over 75,000 UVic alumni use LinkedIn, from all faculties—isn't it time you started networking with them?  In this easy-to-follow computer lab workshop, you'll start to build a LinkedIn profile from scratch in a working session. Learn ways to research, connect and help find that future job.
