Only share content with us that you are confident is correct and that your department is the authority on.

We expect that you have already confirmed things such as the time of your event, the deadline for applications, that links you include are working properly, etc. We do not double check these details for you.

Content submitted for consideration must:

  • Reflect the values and priorities of the university (see the Strategic Plan & Edge brand guidelines)
  • Be factually correct
  • Be relevant to a wide range of people
  • Have no spelling or grammatical errors
  • Use an appropriate tone

Consider you audience

Each post on UVic's central social media accounts typically reaches 2,000-10,000+ people.

If you would like to target a specific group of people, it may be better to approach them through other means, such as your own highly targeted social media channels.
