Robing assistants & greeters

You play a vital role at each Convocation ceremony. You assist students and faculty with their regalia and ensure they are in the correct marshaling room. We encourage staff, faculty, retirees, alumni and non-graduating students to volunteer.

 

 

You assist students with their regalia, ensure it is put on correctly, and answer questions to help them prepare for the procession. We encourage you to attend the rehearsal and learn or refresh your "pinning" skills.

You assist members of the academic procession with their regalia, help the marshals take attendance, and line-up the procession in the hallway. You also give final instructions to the group. We encourage you to attend the rehearsal and learn or refresh your "pinning" skills.

Time required: 2 hours

You welcome graduands and members of the academic procession to the robing and marshaling area and direct them to the appropriate room. Students are divided into rooms alphabetically by last name and degree type. You also help to call students back into their room at the appropriate time.
