3M National Student Fellowship Award Workshop

When: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Where: HHB 128

Do you embrace your educational experience at UVic and beyond? Would your teachers consider you a community builder or a change agent? Do you have some creative solutions to the challenges of post-secondary education, here at UVic and in Canada as a whole? If so, please consider discussing with a faculty member a nomination for the 3M National Student Fellowship. To be eligible, you must be enrolled full-time. The 3M National Student Fellowship honours up to ten undergraduate and graduate students from across Canada each year. They receive a $5,000 award, registration at the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE) conference, as well as accommodation and funds towards travel. While at the conference, they will have the opportunity to develop a cross-Canadian collaborative project with other award winners with the goal of enhancing teaching and learning at the post-secondary level. We invite you and your faculty nominator to attend thi!
s meeting on the award criteria and process. An internal UVic process will select the top candidates for submission to this national award. This workshop session is open to potential students and their faculty nominators to provide information about the award criteria and process.
