Office of Indigenous Affairs
The Office of Indigenous Affairs (INAF) offers leadership and coordination in support of UVic’s numerous Indigenous services for students, staff and faculty. From our progressive approach to teaching and research to our range of partnerships with local Indigenous communities, UVic is committed to fostering a learning environment that is supportive of and responsive to the diverse needs of Indigenous learners.
INAF resources include academic programs, community projects, the First Peoples House and the Elders-in-Residence program. INAF also provides advice to a number of departments across campus in pursuit of building partnerships with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and organizations.
Before, during and after their time at UVic, the Office of Indigenous Affairs connects Indigenous students with educational, financial, and cultural resources on campus and in local communities.
