Ada and Robert Le Grys Memorial Bursary in Biochemistry And/Or Microbiology*

A bursary is awarded annually, on the basis of financial need and academic performance, to a student participating in a major or honours program in Biochemistry and/or Microbiology which bears on human conditions - with special emphasis on human nutritional requirements and related subjects.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students

General bursaries are open to undergraduate students who:

  • Are Canadian citizens or are permanent residents of Canada.
  • Receive the maximum full-time Canadian government student loans and grants for their period of study.
  • Maintain registration in a minimum of 4.5 units in the term in which they receive a bursary (3.0 units for students with a permanent disability).
  • Maintain registration in a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks of study for the term in which they receive a bursary.
  • For continuing students, a minimum GPA of 2.0 in the previous academic session is required.

How to apply

There are two opportunities to apply each year.

The deadlines are:

  •  June 1 for the Summer Session (May to August)
  • October 15 for the Winter Session (September to April).

Only one application per session is necessary to be considered for all bursaries administered by Student Awards and Financial Aid. To be considered you must complete the application, which can be accessed through Online tools
