11th International Conference on Chaozhou Studies

Scholars from across China, Southeast Asia and the US came together to present research on many aspects of Chaozhou studies. Panels looked at the Economic History of the Chaozhou people and region, the Chaoshan Dialect, Religion, important people in Chaozhou history and vital Social Organizations.
The Conference preceded the 18th Convention of the Teochew International Federation (August 19–21, 2015) hosted by the Canada Chaoshan Business Association in Vancouver, BC. The Symposium aligned with the principles of the Convention of the Teochew International Federation in promoting collaboration in areas of trade, culture and social welfare.
