Arthur Blackburn, with Robert McLeod of Hitachi High Technologies Canada will run a workshop on 4D-STEM and Ptychography at the Microscopy of Society of Canada meeting being held at the University of British Columbia, on 21 May, 1 – 4pm.
The SEM workshop for April 2018 will be 9.30 am - 12.30 pm Monday April 9 and Tuesday April 10. Monday is the Introduction and demo and Tuesday is the hands-on practical.

On November 12th, Dr. Arthur Blackburn has begun his position as research scientist at CAMTEC.
TEM finds a new home at AMF. A Hitachi H-7000 has been moved to the AMF where it is being readied for imaging and training.
The redesigned website of the Advanced Microscopy Facility is now on the test server of the University of Victoria. The old website remains active and official until all contents are transferred.
