On Sept. 6, the Royal Society of Canada announced seven scholars from UVic are elected to Canada’s highest academic honour.
Seven UVic researchers in the fields of science, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and human and social development have been elected to Canada’s highest academic
honour.
The University of Victoria's Spring 2021 honorary degree recipients are: Josh Blair, Barry Gough, Eric Metcalfe, Teresa Petrick, Bruce Poon Tip, Marvin Storrow and Pauline van den
Driessche.
A total of eighteen UVic-connected athletes competed and helped Canada win one gold and six silver medals at the 2019 Pan American Games in August.
