Strategic Plan: emerging themes survey
Since the start of the year, we have been talking with the campus community about what is important to us, and about the vision and future of our university.
We have heard your hopes, ambitions, concerns, big ideas, and perspectives on areas critical to the success of the university. Thousands of you shared your thoughts in town halls, surveys, student pop-up booths, Faculty and Division councils, in person small group meetings, online idea boards and much more.
Emerging themesWe took all those conversations, the feedback, and the great ideas gathered so far and distilled them into four themes:
- Truth, Respect and Reconciliation
- Healthy People and Planet
- Innovation In All That We Do
- Partnering for Positive Change
These themes reflect what is important to our community and highlight what makes UVic unique. They are grounded by principles and values that guide us toward excellence in teaching, research and outreach. Each of us will interpret, explore and enact these themes in our own way, but everyone should be able to see the relevance of these themes in how they engage with UVic.
