Facilities Management requests and priorities
Facilities Management will be prioritizing projects over the next several months as staff and faculty transition to working on campus and several major campus infrastructure projects continue.
Project Management Services unit
The project management team will focus its resources on the following categories of projects for the next several months:
- major capital projects
- projects funded by the Ministry (where funding expires March 31)
- projects that support the university's academic and research mission
- projects that support functional or operational requirements
- safety-related projects
Other types of project requests (e.g. energy upgrades and retrofits) will be considered as resources become available.
Interior modifications
Over the summer months, the interior modifications team will focus on work supporting the UVic community as faculty and staff transition to working on campus.
The following types of projects will be considered in the fall or as resources become available:
- aesthetic refreshes
- replacement of existing furniture with new furniture
- disposal of surplus furniture
- 'test-for-fit' for client consideration
