Emergency Preparedness Week

In the midst of a pandemic, it’s still important to be prepared for all types of hazards. Canada’s annual Emergency Preparedness Week takes place this year from May 2 to 8.

Check out the resources on PreparedBC’s website, and download the UVic SafetyApp, the quickest way to receive UVic emergency notifications on your mobile phone. UVic Alerts and other systems will be tested during the week.

If there is an emergency at the university, check your UVic SafetyApp, email, text messaging and the UVic website for updates. Watch for emergency notices posted on the campus digital sign network, and follow @uvic on Twitter.
