- Beacon Hill Park: Large urban park located just south of downtown Victoria, south of Southgate Avenue, east of Douglas Road, and west of Cook Street (free).
- Government House: The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia's private house has its meticulously maintained grounds open to the public. 1401 Rockland Avenue. Dawn to dusk (free).
- Mount Tolmie Park: Just south of the University campus, offers sweeping views of Greater Victoria and beyond (free).
