Let’s Talk Science (LTS) is looking for a Site Coordinator for 2022. Read on to learn more about this volunteer opportunity.
The Opportunity
Join a national network of enthusiastic senior undergraduate and graduate science, social science, and engineering students working together to make a difference in the science literacy of young Canadians!
The Responsibilities
- Recruit and train new site volunteers
- Recruit educators
- Support volunteers by helping plan activities, organizing activity supplies, and making travel arrangements
- Plan and organize trips to rural and remote communities
- Maintain records of activities carried out and evaluations received on the web-based portal
- Track program finances and maintain the site budget
- Raise funds to ensure continuation of all aspects of the program, including coordinator stipends
- Compile and write stewardship reports to funders
- Maintain strong communication with LTS National Office and local program supporters
- Annually attend at least one fully funded LTS conference
