Data Management Support

The UVic Libraries provide advice and services to support the management, curation, and discovery of research data.

Research Data Repositories

UVic Libraries can guide researchers in selecting an appropriate repository to suit their needs, and those of their journal publishers and funding agencies.

  • UVic Dataverse at Scholars Portal
Dataverse is the libraries' institutional research data repository. We can help you create an account for you or your research group to deposit your data, so that it can be easily curated, registered with a DOI, and shared.

  • Federated Research Data Repository (FRDR)
A national Canadian research data repository, suitable for large datasets. Data professionals from the Portage Network and institutions across Canada work with researchers to curate and approve deposited items.

  • Zenodo
OpenAIRE data repository hosted at CERN for research data, software and other artefacts in support of publications. Can be connected directly to a GitHub account to archive and version GitHub repos.
