Structure, transitions, and the big picture in writing

About Madeline: I’ve been at UVic since 2001, first as grad student in English, then as sessional instructor, then as faculty member, and finally as staff. I’ve worked at the CAC since 2016, where I enjoy building relationships with students around their writing. When I’m not working at the CAC as a tutor, I am a freelance editor and writer.
Fun fact: I love to write fiction and experiment with form. Most recently, I wrote a series of linked short stories alternating between the voice of Deedee (wife) and Stan (husband) about their domestic life. I specialize in the ordinary!
