Tyrone Austen

Tyrone Austen is a consultant and the Director of Business Intelligence at Gevity Consulting. Gevity’s Business Intelligence Branch is responsible for delivering innovative IT solutions that transform healthcare data into knowledge and insights. This role has given Tyrone the opportunity to work across Canada and internationally on numerous exciting health informatics initiatives, including the development of a province-wide healthcare data warehouse and the creation of a national eHealth strategy. Tyrone attributes much of his early success to the UVic School of Health Information Science’s intimate and personalized learning environment in conjunction with the its practical co-op training program. Since completing his Masters in Health Information Science, Tyrone has attained certifications in Project Management (PMP), Business Analysis (CBAP), Health Information Management (CPHIMS-CA), Change Management (PROSCI), Service Management (ITIL), and Quality Management (Lean 6 Sigma).
