Bio

Jen Baggs' research interests are in international trade, international economics and immigration. Her current research explores how exchange rate fluctuations affect retail firms and the movement of people across borders, as well as the labour market outcomes of immigrants in the Canadian workforce.  Previous work focused on how free trade agreements and exchange rate fluctuations affect firm survival, growth and financial structure.

Jen formerly worked at the Gustavson School of Business at the University of Victoria and the Smith School of Business at Queen's University. Jen received her PhD from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
