Sheridan Scott is an administrative lawyer specializing in telecommunications, broadcasting and competition law. She began her career at the C.R.T.C. and ultimately worked in leadership roles in both the public and private sector, including Vice President Planning and Regulatory Affairs at the Canadian Broadcasting Company, Chief Regulatory Officer at Bell Canada, and Commissioner of Competition for Canada. She was a partner at Bennett Jones where she provided advice to clients on all facets of law and economic regulation.

Sheridan is a proud graduate of the University of Victoria Law School and the recipient of an honourary doctorate in law from UVic in 2017. She is grateful for the solid educational foundation she received in both public and private law. She believes strongly in the value of interdisciplinary work and wants to encourage students to use their legal training and other experiences to excel at contributing to Canadian society.
