Dr. Navneet Kaur Popli has over 20+ years of progressive experience, training students into future leaders by teaching and mentoring them. She has a strong track record of research with publications in many International journals of repute. She is an IEEE Victoria Section Educational Activities and Student Counsellor and has presented, participated, and conducted many conferences, seminars, and workshops. She has been a speaker at many ISACA events like SheLeadsTech and is particularly working towards increasing female and BIPOC participation in technology through various STEM initiatives.

She has worked extensively with the industry in fields of cybersecurity, distributive computing and software development, scalability and testing, machine learning and artificial intelligence. She is particularly interested in the strategies for development and security of large intelligent systems, smart cities, IoT devices and cyber physical systems.

In the classroom, Dr. Popli engages students with the course material by focusing on problem solving and experiential learning techniques combined with fun class activities, games, guest speakers and hands-on projects. She brings a huge amount of industry exposure, and real-life examples in her lectures. She believes that after studying her course a student must be well-trained to face all kinds of challenges in the industry.
