Welcome, Dr. Nishant Mehta!

Nishant Metha was previously a postdoc at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in the Netherlands, working with Peter Grünwald, and before that was a postdoc with Bob Williamson at the Australian National University (ANU). Nishant did his PhD work at Georgia Tech’s College of Computing under Alexander Gray.  Nishant's work is in theoretical machine learning, and he aims to characterize for which problems machine learning is easy or hard, and what quantity of data is required to learn effectively.  Nishant's work has been published at top-tier Machine Learning conferences (ICML, NIPS, COLT, AISTATS).

We are very excited to welcome Nishant to our department as an Assistant Professor who started on July 15!
