Ben Nadler is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria. He obtained a PhD (2006) in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

His research focuses on advanced topics in continuum mechanical, particularly the constitutive modeling of material with evolving microstructures. This includes the study of anisotropic fluids and inelastic solids with a special emphasis in nonspherical granular materials and suspensions.
